For those handful of you at AWE/IRIS who value genuine free speech and truth in general, here’s an example of the type of power crazed mentality that exists at other political forums.
I recently joined the farcically named “All Sides Political Forums”……and as an opening post just before retiring for the night, I dropped a brief two liner regarding the “coalition of the killing”…….never expecting the backlash I’d receive when I returned in the morgan.
As you can read for yourselves, the admin decided to send me a PM which was both somewhat threatening{wrt to further penalties} and also informed me that I’ve received some utterly stupid downgrade{I can’t read profiles and other crap now}……..now considering I’d only been forming at AWE and Nola for the last few months, I got quite a shock at this type of treatment in that AWE has virtually zero interference, and Nola wasn’t anywhere as oppressive.
Initially I just assumed that my post had been deleted, but whilst they did leave it be, they kept me downgraded and refused to reinstate me back to my original status once I’d proven I wasn’t a troll{ie, I wrote a number of sizeable and sensible posts……{.see here http://allsidespoliticalforums.com/main/index.php?topic=11462.0 }

Within your first few posts, you suggested that the "coalition of the killing have nothing to be proud of" in reference to George W Bush, and than ran off like a frightened little school girl without giving your reasons for stating such a thing.
It was the hit-and-run tactic that got you the down-grade.
Remember this....we allow liberals here, so long as they can debate and discuss topics without the typical leftist trollish behavior. If you can do that, and remain level-headed and stay on-topic, you'll have a home here. If not - you will not last long.
You were given a chance...don't blow it.

My attitude is that whilst I can respect the fact that someone owns a forum{they built it and are paying for it}, I’m certainly not going to be any self appointed mini dictators puppet, so I asked that my stupid downgrade be lifted, and for my persistence, I’ve been shitcanned to a private section of the forum, ie, you guys won’t be able to see it, but the mods and I can supposedly discuss my deviant behaviour.
Also, in the same thread where I dumped my “coalition of the killing” comment, one of the mods decided to take exception to my comments and finished his reply with “shove it jackass”+ another senior member PMed me with this obscene nonsense

He was nice enough to clean up his response when he posted something similar in the forums……..but so far, I’m under attack from virtually every fucking cocksucker at this dump.
Isn’t it odd what a simple one line response can provoke, especially at a forum called “All Sides Politics”….I mean, isn’t it obvious that there’s only one side, and that’s the political ideology held by the admin and supported by the mods and senior members?
As usual, none of them have a clue how to determine right from wrong, some of them{if not all of them} think that politicians have the right to steal my money and use it to play war games, and they’re clearly in favour of Bush and the immoral invasion of Iraq.
What a disgusting bunch of pro-Zionist, pro-war, pro Bush cocksuckers, and what a blatant abuse of power by both the admin and mod.
I’m going to post this in the private section, at which point I’ll be banned……and they’ll all congratulate themselves for ridding another troll, and continue to role play “the good guys” despite abuses of power, censorship and the pretence of being open to rational discussion. |

I don't think you've been banned JJ....you've been sent to a restricted area....so just log in again and you should find it.
Of course, "All Sides" Political forum is anything but.....it's actually Talisman's online dictatorship. |
